Janne Puurtinen a.k.a. Burton is getting his rig ready for upcoming Ellips shows. We've learnt over the years that he's a capable rig builder himself, so our part was mostly sparring with him regarding the setup and taking care of some of the smaller details that were quicker for us to do on the spot than to haul all the gear back to his studio and prep them there.
The album is produced by Matti Mikkola and featuring some of the most brilliant musicians this country has to offer: in addition to Burton on keyboards there's Timo Kämäräinen on guitar, Juho Kanervo on bass, Sami Kuoppamäki on drums and multi-instrumentalist Markus Pajakkala. The album, Yhden naisen hautajaiset, itself will be a cool mixture of sounds and vibes from the past decades, channeling Elli's hippie-side which has been left a bit aside with the more pop-oriented Haloo Helsinki.
The third board is a CV/MIDI controller board for Burton's keyboard setup, containing programmable Moog MP-201 controller on which he can control the Moogerfoogers on his Little Phatty board with ease and in multitude of ways. It also contains a sustain pedal and an expression pedal mounted on the same board for quick and easy setup and teardown.
